My name is Philip. I live in Northern Ohio where the winters are cold and long and the summers are humid and hot. My favorite time of the year can not be defined because my photography changes as often as the seasons. I have found in the most recent that I have a huge passion for wildlife photography. This passion seems to overpower all of my previous passions. Such as storm chasing, Fireman, EMT, Ham Radio and much more.
I have two rare genetic illnesses, even more rare to be found together, as well as non curable nerve and spine issues. I take life as easy as I can because of these problems and actually I hate that. So many hours of frustration is spent in lightroom and photoshop to hone my skills. On good days I go out, on bad days I stay in. It’s that easy.
The reason I want to shoot photography and bring it to you is because people are too busy and too wrapped up in “Today” and they don’t really have time to go and listen to the birds. They don’t have time to sit on the bench and read a book. They simply exist. If I can offer them a peaceful solitude for a moment through a picture, then I would feel compete. Thankfully they offer no thanks for this peaceful solitude. They take it and leave with it and I get to still continue to work for it. That is who I am. After All, I’m just a drunk that got sober for a day and decided to keep it that way.
